Beth and Matt June 13, 2016blogjeff After a wonderful engagement portrait session with Beth and Matt in Portland, Maine last fall, I was totally looking forward to their wedding at the wonderful Basin Harbor Club on Lake Champlain. The gifted Kelly Fletcher was my second photographer and caught this moment as Beth’s mom helped with the final touches. The first time Matt gets to see Beth in her amazing gown. Beth is wearing her mom’s wedding veil. So beautiful! The whole team. Beth and Matt have a lot of dear friends! The groomsmen’s suits were custom made, and each sported different linings. The Ketel One was an add-on. Kelly was with the flower girls as they were getting ready. There were a lot of beautiful children! I love this image of Matt’s 88-year-old grandmother and his niece. The procession through the wedding arch. Beth’s dad was so proud of his daughter! A storybook setting on the lake. Beth and Matt listen as Matt’s dad sings a powerful wedding song. Matt’s ring was a little snug, but Beth prevailed. The first dance. The toasts brought both tears and laughter. The band was amazing! They had most of the 200 guests out on the dance floor all evening. Matt’s grandmother had some moves! The cake was too good to shmush on anyone’s face. Who doesn’t love a chocolate wedding cake? Guests take a break from dancing to enjoy the Ben & Jerry’s ice cream sundae bar. A surprise gift from the wedding party—Make Marriage Great Again t-shirts. I always try to take a quiet break with the bride and groom around sunset. The light is beautiful, and the couple gets to enjoy some time alone together. Basin Harbor Club has Adirondack chairs throughout the property, including this oversized one that we were unsure Beth and Matt would be able to get out of. The 200-sparkler send-off was spectacular! Congratulations Beth and Matt! You certainly made marriage great again on your special day. Thanks so much for letting us be a part of it!
