We started off Katherine and Daniel’s wedding day with a Hollywood glamour portrait session, inspired by Heather Fish’s beautiful glam hair styling. Wedding dress by Monique Lhuiller, earrings by David Walter.
Daniel eagerly awaits his first look.The wedding party and Katherine and Daniel’s families gather on the porch of their 200-year-old home.The bridal party.Daniel’s team.Daniel’s parents and Katherine’s mom arrive at the ceremony on the west lawn.Katherine and Daniel were so happy, not only to be getting married, but also because all their family and friends were gathered in one place.The always-wonderful Betsy Bates performed the ceremony with her usual grace and humor.As Katherine placed the ring on Daniel’s finger, Betsy asked her to repeat the words “Wear this ring as a sign of. . .” and Katherine said to Daniel, “WEAR THIS RING!” It was a moment.The first of many kisses, and the breaking of the wine glass.This may be a good moment to bring up how cool Daniel’s suit is.The cellist played throughout the cocktail hour, while the pianist soaked in the beautiful music and the setting sun.Betsy celebrates with a friend.Katya, Katherine’s maid of honor, had been teasing all day that she might not see Katherine as much now that she’s married. So why not propose? Katya, by the way, is also married and it hasn’t seemed to hurt their friendship too much.Daniel’s family has a tradition with this hat, which you may have noticed his dad was wearing at the ceremony. The goal is to get a picture of any number of different people wearing the hat. This tradition kept me busy through the night. So did Katherine’s delightful bridesmaids in gorgeous dresses.The hat keeps moving.
Katherine and Daniel have renovated their barn as a potential wedding venue, and it is spectacular.Katherine’s bouquet on the mantelpiece at the house.
